Mesa Falls

It was a beautiful Saturday and we were bored do we decided to take a little day trip. We ate the nastiest sandwich I have ever eaten from Mc Donalds and then headed up. It was a fun drive and the falls were beautiful. It was actually very romantic. I loved strolling the trails hand in hand with my sweetheart.

RIP Baby Jackson

I was very lonely in our little apartment in Rexburg. I was having a hard time finding a job and Thomas was at work all the time so he bought me a baby kitty that we named Jackson. He was like a dog. Im not a cat person but I really loved this little guy. He was my pal and kept me company all day.

One day Thomas was playing with Jackson and he got hurt. We think maybe he broke his little pelvic bone. After that he stopped eating and before we could get him to the vet, the poor little guy passed away. It broke my heart. I cried for days and Thomas blamed himself for the longest time. I'll never forget our first kitty.

Honeymoon..

Our honeymoon was a blast! We didn't have a whole lot of time before Thomas had to get back to work so we spent ours in DisneyLand. It was soooo much fun. I had never been before and I got to go and be a kid again. Thomas made it very special for me and made sure I had a great experience. It was such a magical place.

love at first sight??? Not so much

Thomas says he fell in love with me the moment he laid eyes on me. My feelings however weren't mutual in the begining, but eventually evolved into a love that will last throughout the eternities. Our love story began like a lot of LDS couples, at the singles ward. I had gone to Minnesota to live with my aunt for a year. It was to be a year where I could get away persue new adventure, higher education, live for myself and grow closer to my heavenly father. I definately didn't have plans to chase after any boys.

My first Sunday in Minnesota I attended the singles ward for the first time. I walked in not knowing a soul and sat next to a group of girls. Half way through the meeting I heard the doors open loudly and this guy walked through the door. He looked a little like Elvis Presley and seemed a little full of himself. He didn't look like any of the LDS boys I attended church with in Idaho. He didn't wear a tie, the top two buttons on his shirt were not buttoned and he wore a guitar pick on a chain around his neck. What a jerk I thought... Soon he approached the row I was in and the girl next to me abruptly told me to move over so he could sit next to her. I figured he had to be her boyfriend.

The whole meeting the two sat whispering back and forth and I would get an occasional glance from him. I thought the two were pretty rude and I wished they would shut up and pay attention. (Later I found out he was asking questions about me)

After church was over the singles ward had a dinner. I sat down and "the guy" sat right in front of me. I had intentions of completely ignoring him. Then he poured me a drink and was to my surprise very polite and sweet. I had judged him all wrong. We talked the whole time. He told me how he was born in Idaho and that he looked so sloppy because he woke up late and hurried to church. After the dinner he offered to drive me home and we talked all the way home. There was never an awkward silent moment and we actually had a lot in common.

The following Friday I went to a 4th of July BBQ with him and some people from the ward. The next day we went on our first date and then about a month later he told me he loved me and well....The rest is history! We dated for two years, he followed me out to Idaho and attended BYUI, proposed in May of 2010, and then we were married for time and all eternity in the Twin Falls Idaho Temple. Now we are just living out happily ever after...Plus a few surprises :)
