Autumn...my favorite!

Fall is for babies in cuddly oatmeal bear suits, for hiking with a very handsome Daddy and for making wishes on fragrant falling leaves. Happy Fall!!!!

3 months

Happy 3 month Birthday to my sweet William! Holy cow a lot has happened in the month since I last posted. My little guy is getting soooo big. He has so much personality. Our days are filled with songs and stories and a lot of laughter in our home. William giggles so much. It kills me!!! Every morning we wake up at about 7am and I pull him into bed with me for about a half hour before we get up for our day. We cuddle and giggle and I tickle his cute little baby tummy. He flirts and gives me big gummy smiles and tells me stories. He's definitely a talker. I love his little noises.

After we get out of bed he has his breakfast and then its bath time. He loves bath time! I dont get dressed before I bath him because the little dude loves to splash. For such a little guy he sure can soak his mommy.

William is such a fun, perfect little baby. I seriously can't believe how fast he's growing. The things he's loving right now are...
  • Cuddles
  • Bath Time
  • Eating...Duh
  • kisses from mommy, but nobody else. Daddies face is too scratchy
  • His playmat Grandma Treadaway got him
  • Being worn in the baby bjorn. Mostly by Tom
  • Dancing with mommy
  • Story time. He loves to be read to and to look at the pictures
  • The prophet. I laid him on the couch during conference when he was a little fussy. When President Monson spoke he was starring at the TV and smiling. I think babies feel the spirit the strongest.
Things He hates
  • The car seat
  • Riding in the car at night
  • pacifiers
  • tummy time.

Overall I have a very happy baby. Im so lucky and blessed to be able to be a stay at home mom. I think its probably the hardest job I've ever done but i wouldn't trade it for the world

William's Blessing

Last Sunday was my sweet William's baby blessing. My wonderful in-laws came from Minnesota and stayed with us for a few days. It was a lot of fun to have them around and watch them meet William for the first time.

Williams Blessing was beautiful. His daddy blessed him and some of our family members and very special friends stood in. Baby wore a gorgeous blessing outfit made by his grandma Treadaway. She did such an incredible job. Its an heirloom outfit that is very special to me and I know William will cherish it as well. Maybe one day William will have a little boy and he can wear it too. Be still my heart!!!

Tom did a fantastic job blessing him. The spirit was so strong and I couldn't hold back tears. Im so proud of my husband for being a good man. He holds and honors his priesthood and our family is stronger because of him.

Throw the clock out the window...

My little man is growing up so fast and there is nothing I can do about it! It seems like just yesterday I was laying in a hospital bed snuggling his little body and now He's already a little over a month old. He smiles and rolls over. Its crazy how fast time flies! Before I know it he'll be walking and talking and then off to college. Be still my heart! So Im making a vow to myself and my little guy. Each moment is precious and Im going to make every one count. Im going to try to live in the moment and not think to much about what tomorrow might bring. Im gonna work hard to be the best mamma ever. I dont want to look back and wonder where all the time went. I want to look back and remember all of our time spent together. Im so blessed to have such a beautiful, sweet baby.

On another note, I have some beautiful newborn pictures I have yet to post on my blog. My friend and talented photographer Jami took them for me as a baby shower gift. I wish Thomas could have been in them but work came first. Im hoping to get family pictures a little later down the road with all of us. Anyway, with out further adieu.....tada

We made it a whole year

Today marks one full year that I have been married to the love of my life. It makes me think back on all of our time together. Today I thought back to the beginning. To 2008 in Minnesota and the magic that happened there. My heart will always be fond of the midwest because thats where we fell in love. I'll never forget the tree lined Mississippi or our swing. We spent a lot of time on that swing overlooking that beautiful river. We held hands and shared dreams and sometimes just sat in silence, my head resting on your shoulder just taking it all in. Our swing was the best because it sat between the trees and overlooked the river directly to the west. We would sit and watch the sun set turning the river the most beautiful shades of pink and red. It seems as if we sat in that swing and literally watched summer fade into fall, the leaves changing before our very eyes. It was magnificent. I also remember when we had our short breakup. I would go sometimes and sit in that swing. I would occasionally have an encounter with our chipmunk friend that we dubbed Fred. I would talk to him and cry. I knew my life without you wasn't right. Im so glad i realized that then. So here's to an eternity's worth of anniversaries with my sweetheart and never having to swing alone. I love you Thomas Dean Treadaway. Happy anniversary babe!

Splish Splash...Williams first bath

Today Grandma Gina gave you your first bath at home. There were times you weren't very impressed and you weren't afraid to let us know, but for the most part you loved it. You especially love to have your hair washed and you try to eat the washcloth. I cant wait for your umbilical cord to fall off so i can give you a real bath. I love you more than life baby bird.
Love,
Mommy

Love letter

Dear William,
Yesterday was your birthday and the happiest day of my life. I loved you before you were born, but when the Dr put your tiny little body up on my chest and you looked up me with those big bright eyes my heart could have burst it was so full. Im so in love with you. Just looking at you makes my eyes well up with tears of happiness. You are perfect. Please don't grow up too fast.
Love,
Mommy
